One year ago, June 28th, 2023, I checked myself into The Recovery Village at Palmer Lake. I was broken, scared and didn’t have one answer - other than I needed help.
I was beyond sick and tired of being sick and tired.
After my 41 day stay, I walked out the door feeling alive again. I was happy again. Feeling again. The education I received still leaves me feeling so very grateful. You have to bust your tail in here - if you want it.
The warmth. The understanding. The guidance. The pushes and nudges.
I think about every person that helped me on my sobriety path in there.. they became “my people.”
I couldn’t think of a better way to end this day….to recognize and pay my sincere gratitude and respects to the wonderful people who make Palmer Lake what it is. One year later… I AM STILL SOBER😊.

My experience at Recovery Village was truly life-changing. From day one, I felt supported by an incredible team of staff and therapists who genuinely care about each person’s recovery journey.

The therapists are knowledgeable, compassionate, and create a safe space to do the hard work. The support staff is always present, encouraging, and consistent, which made a huge difference during my time there.

The facility itself is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easier to focus on healing. Everything about the program felt intentional and supportive.

I’m leaving with tools, clarity, and a strong foundation for long-term recovery. I’m incredibly grateful for my time here and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking help.

I cannot say enough amazing things about the Saturday Family Enrichment Program at The Recovery Village Palm Beach.

Liana, Angela, and Jimmie have created something truly special and life-changing for families like mine. From the very beginning, they were incredibly supportive and accommodating making it easy to attend both in-person and via Zoom, which made such a difference during a time that can already feel overwhelming.

This program didn’t just educate me about addiction it transformed the way I show up for my loved one. I learned how to support without enabling, how to set healthy boundaries without guilt, and most importantly, how to take care of myself while loving someone in recovery. That balance is something I didn’t even realize I was missing until I found this program.

Jimmie’s weekly contributions were especially powerful. Hearing his sobriety journey brought so much perspective, hope, and real-life understanding. It reminded me that recovery is possible and gave me insight into how I can better support my loved one in a meaningful and healthy way.

Programs like this are not just helpful they are essential. Addiction doesn’t just affect the individual, it affects the entire family. This program provides the tools, education, and emotional support families need to navigate recovery together.

I truly believe this program should continue and be made available to as many families as possible. It is making a real difference, and I am beyond grateful for everything Liana, Angela, and Jimmie have poured into it.

The recovery village makes you feel like family the minute you step into the center,they welcome you with smiles and positive self encouragement,I have been to plenty of treatment centers, but the recovery village really is rooting for you to succeed, and doing everything that they can to make you you do have to right tools to get sober, and to stay sober.
