The Recovery Village Ridgefield Drug and Alcohol Rehab

The Recovery Village Ridgefield offers a full variety of rehab programs for drug and alcohol addictions and co-occurring mental health conditions.

“I cannot emphasize enough how influential and inspirational the staff at RVR were during my time there. Treatment is not pretty, easy, or comfortable in any way. Being surrounded by staff who are building you up and rooting for your success on a daily basis, in addition to the clinicians’ varying perspectives on what recovery can look like, is unbelievably empowering. ”

Levels of Care

Medical detox programming is the first step toward healing from addiction and cleanses the body of all traces of alcohol or drugs.

During inpatient treatment (also known as residential), clients who’ve completed detox can begin the work of recovery in a safe environment.

Partial hospitalization is a step down from intensive rehab like detox and inpatient care.

It’s very common to have co-occurring mental health disorders along with an addiction to drugs or alcohol. Dual diagnosis care treats both simultaneously to optimize your outcomes in recovery.

For severe opioid or alcohol use disorders, approved medications may be beneficial when medically appropriate. Medication-assisted treatment reduces the risk of relapse and cravings.

This place is amazing. Reading the reviews just reinforces what is true. If you come in with an open mind and willingness - you won’t be disappointed. The staff are humans as well and everyone makes mistakes. But they all truly care. Advice for anyone hesitant due to a poor review- just advocate for yourself and you will have a good experience. The clinicians and the nursing staff are incredible and caring. The BHTs go above and beyond to tend to everyone. Special shout out to all the BHTs: (Give them a raise!!!) Randi- amazing sweetheart!!! kind, funny, and hard working. Always attentive to anyone’s needs. Scott- Literally such an amazing human being. Thoughtful, easy to talk to and confide in, and respectful. Will go beyond the title to make sure one is okay. Shannon- Such a sweetheart and amazing tech. Will always be in your corner and help you out. Cheryl- Another sweetheart! Funny and caring to the clients. Great fashion sense as well. Lindsey- incredibly nice and always willing to listen to anyone. Jay- rockstar and super cool guy. Friendly and always willing to help everyone. Jared- Funny and professional. Will go above and beyond for the clients and their needs. Elijah- Calm and collected, always nice to everyone and a great person who cares and listens. Leah- Hard worker and attentive to the clients. Katt- Kind and thoughtful to all the clients. Jennifer- Hard working and incredibly nice. Will always be there for the clients. Kathy- Another rockstar! Genuinely cares for everyone’s recovery and progress. Annika- New addition to the team, but very sweet and nice to get along with. She is always there for anyone who needs to be heard. Another shout out to the cooks: ( Raises deserved!!) Tommy, Michelle, and Nathan! Always holding it down in the kitchen. Fantastic cooks and super helpful to all- especially if you have a special diet. Shout out to the maintenance team as well. Work hard to maintain the facility!!! If you get along with these individuals you won’t be disappointed! If I missed anyone - apologies. The entire team is superb!!

Just completed treatment and RVR helped saved my life. I’ve been to numerous treatment centers and RVR is the best I’ve been to. If you’re considering treatment you will be pleasantly surprised. From the food, Lawrence “Larry” and the woman cook (forgot name) cook with love and you can tell! Best cooks! The counselors are one of a kind. I felt love from Tasha and Meredith. They both are there because they genuinely care and I know it. The BHT’s Shannon, Cheryl, Jared, and Scott have all individually also help save my life. They stayed up late night to just have conversations with me and continuously encourage me. The nursing staff (wish I could remember name’s) but the Asian gentleman and Ashlee all spoke life into me. The entire staff genuinely cares and you can feel it from the time you wake up until the time you go to sleep. Thank you RVR
I went into cardiac arreste upon arrival. If it went for the staff ans ETS i wouldnt be here
Recovery Village saved my life. I had never thought I was in true danger despite my numerous trips to the ER to detox. I thought I deserved to feel badly about myself and my life because of my addiction. Recovery Village helped me understand my addiction and the way my brain has become wired. I finally found a way to break the cycle and I remembered what happiness is, how to create boundaries to support my sobriety and how to love myself again. I am coming up on 6 months sober this weekend and I am the best I have been as a human, friend, coworker, spouse, sibling and daughter than I have been in over a decade. Thanks RVR Outside of the inpatient and PHP - if you are offered Intensive Outpatient (IOP), TAKE IT! Steph is amazing and this part of the program is a great segue (I would say essential for me) into “real life.” You will have an arsenal of information to combat your old habits and ways of thinking. Your newly educated brain and your desire to stay sober will grow and solidify - it’s not crammed in - it’s a gentle and inviting environment with peers. You will find allies there. So, try it out! Good luck and keep working it!

The physical site and the amenities are great. But it's the staff here that make this a special place. When I was here I never felt like a patient. I felt like I was among friends that were trying to help me back from a dark place. That said they can be busy at times, so make sure that you advocate for the things you need. If the staff will try their utmost to help you. I hope I don't have to go back again, but if I did have to, I know I would be in good hands. Special thanks to the kitchen staff and nurses. Also their IOP program is top notch.
