If you want to feel like you’re actually taken care of, and not a number on a page, I’d highly recommend ORC. You have a team of therapists who genuinely care about the wellbeing of their clients and they treat everyone with the respect that’s typically lacking in treatment centers. This place has saved my life. I’m now equipped with the tools I need to handle my life, not just my recovery. They’re a dual diagnosis treatment center, so if you don’t struggle with drugs and alcohol, you’re still eligible to get the help you may need. I’m not one for big corporations, they all kinda suck just based on how the system is set up, but at this treatment center, you’re not treated as a cog in a machine. They see you for the person you are, and even better, the potential for the person you can become. If you’re reading this and struggle with substance use, I just want to let you know there is a whole community of people waiting to love you for you, unconditionally. If you have any questions about what to expect from a person who actually has been there, reply and I can shoot you an email. You don’t have to make the decision to get better alone. They can help. 🙂 The foods kinda bad thought. Be prepared for that.

Read More About Traveling for Rehab

Because healing is your first priority, keeping distractions to a minimum is key for recovery. For the safety and privacy of all patients, cell phones will be securely stored until discharge. After an initial 72-hour stabilization period, patients will receive access to their cell phone only while in the presence of a Therapist or Case Manager. Therapists will be responsible for arranging and monitoring the time spent on their cell phone. To accommodate patients access to calling family and social support members they will have access to designated phone times at the BHT stations. There will be time lists at the stations that patients can sign up for personal phone time.
