Heather Lomax graduated with honors from Rhodes College in 2016, where she studied English literature and creative writing. For the first six years of her career, she worked as an SEO content specialist at award-winning digital marketing agencies. In this role, she combined her passion for writing with the task of optimizing commercial websites for businesses of all sizes. She worked with a wide range of sectors, including behavioral health, e-commerce, SaaS, social media, food and beverage, and many more.
Now, at Advanced Recovery Systems, they use this experience by working closely with medical experts to produce helpful, accurate articles on the challenges of navigating substance use, recovery and mental health conditions. Their goal is to help more individuals with substance use disorders and their loved ones find addiction treatment resources.
